Annual Survey of School System Finances

Dear Fiscal Coordinator,
The Census Bureau and the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) want to thank you for
your participation in the FY 2010 Annual Survey of School System Finances (F-33). Your
continued assistance enables us to collect and report education finance information that is valuable
to a variety of data users. The data you provide are used extensively by NCES, incorporated into
the Census Bureau’s reports on state and local government finance, and included in the calculation
of U.S. Gross Domestic Product. The purpose of this message is to officially announce the opening
of the data collection for FY 2011.

Please provide the following information about your FY 2011 data submission:

I have attached the FY 2011 survey form and a couple of items that will help with your data
submission. Please note the three items on page five of the form which report amounts from P.L.
111-5, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). If you need additional
information or have questions about any of the data items, please feel free to contact the F-33 staff
or me.

from this collection do not require confidentiality. The success of this voluntary survey is due to
your continued cooperation over the years, and we greatly appreciate your efforts.
