The target geographic area for inclusion in the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) includes all U.S. states, the District of Columbia, the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam, Palau, and the Federated States of Micronesia. Eligible persons include all persons aged 18 or above residing in private residences or college housing. The table below provides population totals for eligible persons in each jurisdiction (based on 2013 intercensal population estimates). The sample estimates are based on the most recent (2013) previous year’s completed interviews. The total number of interviews is likely to be smaller in 2015.
