COMPLIANCE AGREEMENT
Between
Ditta Barilla Alimentare SpA, Est. No. 1549 L
Via Mantova 166, 43099 Parma, Italy

And
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (USDA)
ANIMAL AND PLANT HEALTH INSPECTION SERVICE (APHIS)
This document is to certify that Establishment No. 1549 L, will:
1. Process pork-filled past products using either cooked pork products, which have been cooked
according to USDA's regulations 9CFR, 94.12 (b)(1)(i),(ii), or (v), for export to the United
States only in the USDA approved facility or
dry-cured pork products, which have been dry-cured according to USDA's regulations 9CFR,
94.17, for export to the United States only in the USDA, APHIS approved facility.
2. Maintain at the processing (pork-filled past products) establishment, for at least 2 years,
copies of the following documents on each lot of pork-filled past product:
a) The date that the cooked or dry-cured pork product was received in the processing facility;
(b) The number of packages, the number of hams or cooked pork products per package, and the weight of each
package;
(c) A lot number or other identification marks;
(d) The health certificate that accompanied the cooked or dry-cured pork product from the slaughter/processing
to the meat-filled pasta product processing facility; and

(e) The date that the pork or pork product used in the pasta started dry curing (if the product used is a dry-cured ham) or
the date that the product was cooked (if the product used is a cooked pork product).

3. Be responsible to see that all provisions of paragraph (c) of9CFR, 94.12 have been complied.
4. Be responsible to see that the pork-filled past products exported to the United States are
accompanied by a certificate issued by a full-time salaried veterinarian employed by the National
Veterinary Service of the government of Italy, stating that the pork products used were either
cooked according to Section 94.12 (b)(l)(i),(ii), or (v), or dry-cured according to Section 94.17,
Title 9 of the CFR and that pasta products were processed according to 94.12 (c).
5. Allow USDA, APHIS inspectors to make unannounced inspections to monitor compliance
with this agreement. Ifthe USDA, APHIS inspector determines that the establishment fails to
comply with this agreement, approval from USDA, APHIS will be canceled, and further exports
of dry-cured pork products to the United States shall be stopped. Any appeals for cancellation
must be directed to the Administrator, USDA, APHIS, within 10 days after receiving notification
of the cancellation.
