Consultations Outside the Agency: The Department published a notice in the Federal Register on April 25, 2016 at 81 Fed. Reg. 79, soliciting public comment during a 60-day comment period on possible revisions to the form used by the Office of Special Counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment Practices (OSC) to receive and process allegations of employment-related discrimination under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b. The Department received no comments in response to the 60-day notice.

During the 60-day comment period, the Department launched an online version of the form in English and Spanish, and is working to add additional languages in the near future. The online version of the form supplements the existing pdf and hard copy versions. The online form can be completed and submitted entirely online and solicits the same information as the pdf and hard copy versions of the form (with the online version, respondents can send supporting documents electronically). The online form contains discrete, unique features to facilitate completion and submission online, such as a “submit” button to file the charge and buttons for respondents to confirm that information populated on the charge form is correct.
