Preview & Test
The National Cancer Institute, Office of Scientific Operations, kindly requests your participation in
helping us assess Scientific Library support for staff working at the NCI at Frederick. This survey
will determine how Scientific Library services are currently being used and how we may best meet
the evolving needs of our community in the future. This survey should be completed internally by
Government employees, fellows, interns, volunteers, as well as contractor (Leidos Biomedical
Research, Inc.) and resident subcontractor employees. This survey should only take approximately
15 minutes and is not intended to be a performance evaluation for the Scientific Library.
There are two sections to the survey: (1) General information and current usage, and (2) Innovation
and outlook.

Innovation, Specialized Services, Communication, and Outlook
Scientific Library staff has a variety of expertise, including
librarians with specialized science backgrounds (such as
chemistry) called "informationists", who can help you with
managing research data and quickly getting you answers to
technical questions. Through their own research, library staff
also becomes aware of novel technologies and approaches
which may be helpful for enhancing your research efforts.
