Justification for Non Material/Non Substantive Change

The Peace Corps proposes to make a change to the Peace Corps World Wise Schools Educator Enrollment Form, OMB Control Number 0420-0540, Expiration Date 06/30/2017. The change reflects no additional collection of personal information from educators interested in World Wise Schools program, only in the type of activity they wish to do with Peace Corps Volunteers. The changes are nonsubstantive and, as a result, do not require approval under the Paperwork Reduction Act, 44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.
The Agency will collect more specific information from educators about how they intend to connect with Peace Corps Volunteers, including: providing them a date range for their desired connection and providing a description. These additions do not create an increased burden on the respondent, but rather allow the Agency to provide more efficient services.
This collection of information is necessary to enable the Agency to better gauge stakeholder needs in engaging with Volunteers via the World Wise Schools program. The information collected from our customers and stakeholders will help ensure that users have an effective, efficient, and satisfying experience with the Agency’s programs.
Responses will be assessed to better connect interested Volunteers with educators to meet the Agency’s goals and mission. If this information is not collected, vital information will be missing, leading to a larger investment of time and resources overall to provide this service. The Agency is changing several business processes and wants to make sure the changes are meeting Peace Corps commitment to improving service delivery.
