of obtaining multifamily mortgage insurance for new or
rehabilitated housing. The information collected is used to
determine if key principals are acceptable and have the ability to
manage the development, construction, completion, and successful
lease-up of the proposed property.
Why the increase in burden
occurred because the discipline phases of an application for
mortgage insurance-underwriting, valuation, architectural, and
mortgage credit analysis. Performs each phase during the
application process to ensure the financial, physical, and
environmental soundness of the project, as well as the potential
insurance risk.
