FY 2016 Survey of State Government Research and Development

The National Science Foundation (NSF) and the U.S. Census Bureau are conducting the FY 2016 Survey of State Government Research and Development to determine the extent of R&D expenditures by departments and agencies during FY 2016. Your voluntary survey response will be compiled by the Census Bureau and forwarded to the NSF, the federal agency charged with collecting and reporting national R&D statistics. These statistics are used to measure states’ contributions to our nation’s science and technology base, a building block of a strong U.S. economy, in the calculation of state and national Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and used by state and federal policy makers. Survey results can be found on NSF web page: http://www.nsf.gov/statistics/srvystaterd/.
