The Adult Blood Lead Epidemiology and Surveillance (ABLES) Program, located within the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), receives copies of blood lead test results on individuals 15 years of age or older. It is our responsibility to inform individuals who have an elevated blood lead test about the recognized health hazards of lead and activities they can undertake to reduce lead exposure. Listed below is your most recent result and the date drawn:

Ninety to ninety-five percent of adults with elevated blood lead levels are exposed to lead at work. In addition to personal exposure, workers can bring lead home and unknowingly expose their families. If you have children under the age of 6 or a pregnant woman in your home, it is important that they be tested for lead and certain preventative measures be undertaken. Please review the enclosed Fact Sheet to learn what lead is, its health effects, and steps necessary to protect you and your family from lead poisoning.
