Handler Inventory Report: HIR (§ 929.62, 929.64 and 929.105)
This Justification for Change addresses cosmetic modifications to the Cranberry Marketing Committee (CMC)’s Handler Inventory Report (HIR) form currently approved under OMB No. 0581-0189, Fruit Crops. Form CMC-HIR is used by processors to document their cranberry inventory. This information is used for third-party verification. These changes improve clarity of the forms and assist the handlers in filling out the form. The burden is not affected.
Overall: Fillable date lines are added the Section A, B, C and D. bbl (barrels) is added along every fillable line for clarity.
Section A: “from previous report” is added after the Adjustment subsection.
Section B: bbls are changed to Barrels in the Foreign Barrels Acquired and the Total Barrels Acquired subsections
Section D: The subsections are rewritten to provide more clarity. Fresh Domestic Sales, Processed and Sold by Handler, Sold to Processors in District are changed to Domestic Sales- Fresh, Domestic Sales-Processed, Domestic Sales- Concentrate.
Section E: “Number of barrels that have been sold, but not yet shipped” is added as a sub-section.
