The FCC must be able to contact its
licensees and permittees in a communications emergency. Respondent
wireless, wireline, broadcast, cable and satellite companies will
enter emergency contact information in the DIRS database. In the
event of an actual emergency, respondents also may enter
infrastructure and network damage information and/or requests for
resources into the database. Also in the event of an emergency,
Commission staff may contacts respondents.
