Handler Withholding Report: JUN (§ 929.54)

This Justification for Change addresses a modification to the Cranberry Marketing Committee’s Handler Withholding Report (CMC-JUN) currently approved under OMB No. 0581-0304, Cranberries Grown in Multiple States. Beginning June 1, 2018, handlers will submit the Form CMC-JUN to notify the Committee of the anticipated quantity of cranberries acquired by the handler, withheld from handling, and the disposition of such withheld cranberries during the crop year.

The only change to the form is replacing “125,000 bbl” indicated in “Section B Exempt Barrels” of the section titled “Withhold Cranberry Details” with “_______ bbl” to give Committee staff the ability to modify the form prior to dissemination to reflect program requirements. The estimated five-minute burden for handlers to complete the form would not be affected as a result of this modification.

The Committee initially recommended the 125,000-barrel exemption for the Department of Agriculture’s consideration in the proposed rule. USDA changed the exemption threshold for the final rule.
