A Message from the U.S. Census Bureau:
A few months ago, we sent you the Construction Progress Reporting Survey requesting
information about a construction project associated with your organization. At that time, you
informed us that construction work had not yet started, but provided us with an expected start
date. We are now returning the form to you to ask if the project has started.
The enclosed form identifies and describes your project. If it has started, please verify the
project description and location, enter the start date, projected completion date, total cost
estimates, and monthly figures on the value of work done from the start of construction
through the previous month. Thereafter, we will ask you to report only a single figure each
month for the construction value of work done, until the project is completed. If the project
still has not started, please enter the projected start date.
Please use the enclosed form as a worksheet prior to reporting online. Website and login
information can be found on the front page of the form. Online reporting is easy, reduces
costs, and decreases processing times. You may elect to return the completed form in the
enclosed envelope instead of responding online. You may also submit your survey by fax
(1-800-845-8245) within 7 days, even if the project has not started.
We estimate this survey will take an average of 30 minutes to complete for your first month of
reporting and 10 minutes for subsequent months.
For assistance with completing this survey, please call our customer helpline at 1-800-845-8246,
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern time.
Thank you in advance for your time and participation, and for helping the U.S. Census Bureau
measure America’s people, places, and economy.
Sincerely,

Stephanie L. Studds
