Change Date Justification
Remove national guard check box in section 1 7/19/2018 Causes confusion to national guard members who think they can use this form when they can't because they aren't activated or activated under State orders which is not a UOCAVA population
On the ballot page add the word federal to the sentence in the red box to read "To find out about specific federal candidates and races go to FVAP.gov" 10/11/2018 Some voters think that we have information on state candidates and races, but we only have information on federal candidates.
Only AL, PR, VA, WI should be present in Sec. 6.
We talked to the states present on the last form and AL, PR, VA, WI. are the only ones that require mention here.
Remove check boxes in the red box on the voter information page 7/19/2018 Served no purpose caused issues with R3 our online assistant
Add 2 extra lines to section 6 7/19/2018 More room is helpful for people who need to explain a situation or who have additional requirements
Remove would you like to register and/or request a ballot for all elections you are eligible for from section 5. 7/19/2018 Broken out into sections for more clarity.
Remove a line from section 3 mailing instructions 7/19/2018 It was not necessary to have the 5th line as addresses have 4 lines and military addresses with five lines usually have name in one of the lines, which is not needed on this form
Stylistic change to bullets in the red box labeled "Use this form if you are" on the instruction page 7/19/2018 The boxes make it look like people need to fill out a form
Another bullet explaining registration and ballot request was put in on the instruction page in the bold black bullets 7/19/2018 All states do registration and ballot request differently with the FWAB and registration is not a federal requirement of the FWAB
Add clarification on mail forwarding address 7/19/2018 Less confusion for people when writing down their address for mail to be sent to.
Change From Privacy Act to Privacy Advisory 10/12/2018 Privacy and FOIA Officer said that our statement should be an advisory.
Change wording in section one from "my return is uncertain" to "my intent to return is uncertain" 2/7/2019 To clear up the understanding of intent vs. a specific date that a voter must know of their return.
