Who must comply?

Aircraft operators and foreign air carriers operating under amendments to security programs.

What is this collection about?

This information collection requires an air carrier or aircraft operator to collect, report, and submit information on the volume of cargo screened for transport on passenger aircraft.

Where do I find the requirements for this information?

The cargo reporting requirements can be found in the amendments to the Aircraft Operator Screening Standard Security Program for Aircraft Operators or the Foreign Air Carrier Model Security Program for Foreign Air Carriers.

When must information be submitted to the TSA?

The information must be submitted to TSA upon request.

How is the information submitted?

Each air carrier or aircraft operator must submit the cargo reporting information to its assigned TSA Principal Security Inspector (PSI) or International Industry Representative (IIR).

Each air carrier or aircraft operator should use the following e-mail subject header when submitting reports:

Submission_Cargo Reporting_Applicable Airline Name_Month_Year

(e.g., Submission_Cargo Reporting_Sample Airline Name_XX_20XX)

What happens when complete information is received?

Once TSA receives all required screened cargo data, TSA will monitor the progress towards the one-hundred percent cargo screening at the piece-level for cargo transported on passenger aircraft.

Air Carriers and Aircraft Operators are asked to direct policy-related questions or technical questions regarding cargo screening reporting to the carrier’s assigned PSI or IIR.
