A REMINDER from the U.S. Census Bureau:
Register now for the 2020 Census Local Update of Census Addresses Operation (LUCA)
The U.S. Census Bureau recently invited your government to participate in LUCA. If you have not
already responded to LUCA, please register to participate.
What is LUCA?
LUCA is the only opportunity offered to tribal, state, and local governments to review the Census
Bureau’s residential address list prior to the 2020 Census. The Census Bureau relies on a complete
and accurate address list to reach every living quarters and associated population for inclusion in the
census. Participation in LUCA can help ensure an accurate count for your jurisdiction.
