Study Description of the Evaluation of the Public Education Campaign on Teen Tobacco Cohort II (ExPECTT II)

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Tobacco Products is conducting the next round of the Evaluation of the Public Education Campaign on Teen Tobacco (ExPECTT). Your child or children are one of more than 4,000 youth who took part in the first round of this study. This study, sponsored by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Tobacco Products, will provide FDA, policy makers, and researchers important information about youth exposure to public education messages on the health risks of smoking or using other tobacco products. RTI International (RTI), a nonprofit research organization, was selected by the FDA to conduct this study.

There are two ways for your child to participate in this survey: through the website or with an interviewer in your home. Your child will be offered $25 if they complete the survey through the website on or before [ADD DATE], or $20 after [ADD DATE], as a token of appreciation for participating. Your child will be offered $20 if they complete the survey in person. If your child takes the survey through the website, they will receive their incentive in the form of a check. If they take the survey in person, they will receive their incentive in the form of cash.
