ATTACHMENT 6_E2a: ExPECTT ROUTING FOR CONSENT PROCESS

Parental permission is required for respondents who are NOT 18 years old or older.

2. Yes

3. No

PROGRAMMING NOTES:

CHECK #1: We will check response against respondent’s age at last data collection. If response does not cohere with our expectations, there will be a prompt asking FI to check and reenter data.

CHECK #2: If a second entry also does not cohere with our expectations, FI will be asked to confirm age once more.

CHECK #3: ALL respondents who report being 18 or older will be routed to a screen that says:

2. You have indicated that you are at least 18 years of age. Is this correct?

1. Yes

2. No

IF YES, respondent is age 18 or older, bypass parental permission and proceed directly to youth consent.

IF NO, respondent is not age 18 or older, proceed with parental permission, followed by youth assent.
