# Common Theme Individual (Olivia Galloway-Sanders) Summary of Comment Proposed Reponses
1 General Comment X Normally, while adhering to policies and procedures, organizations maintain operation by avoiding confusion and legal disputes. For organizations such as CMS, it is therefore essential
to always update these policies and procedures so that it avoids making decisions that may make illogical or even illegal decisions, given that legal policies change with constant amendment of guiding constitutions.
For CMS.gov, various initiatives regarding policy updates can be said to help the website achieve its open government goals, especially with expertise both within and outside the website. With updates on the website, there can be provision of open access to health
information and health datasets that are generated or held by the government. At the same time, regular update of the site aids in subsequent update of strategic plans by the website, allowing
government performance and result modernization through requisition of federal government to solicit and consider external party views at all times. It is, therefore, accurate to mention that
updating the CMS.gov website is pivotal in instilling compliance and reform in developing open government plans such as supporting the prevention and public health funds and embracing of policies such as the freedom of information act.
