Abstract: The Department of Justice Attorney Student Loan Repayment Program is an agency recruitment and retention incentive program. DOJ selects participants during an annual open season. Any DOJ employee serving in or hired to serve in an attorney position may request consideration for the ASLRP.

Short Statement: Decrease of burden from last approval - "We handle all reviews in house and the process is completely electronic. Because the vast majority of individuals seeking ALSRP funding are current DOJ employees (excluded from calculation of the public burden), and only approximately 10 are incoming hires, who would fall within the definition of members of the public, any costs associated with processing or recordkeeping associated with those individuals are de minimis."
