Subject Line: Introduction + Initial Information on Focus Groups

Hey CHEs,

Hope you are all well!

My name is Toni Ajala, and I am the new summer intern for the Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities, specifically with the Integrated Networks Branch (INB) working with the NON Team. I am a rising Junior majoring in biotechnology at the University of Virginia. My research interests include health equity, gynecologic cancers, and the intersection of science and advocacy. I wanted to reach out and briefly introduce myself as I am working on a project and would like your assistance. The project consists of a series of focus groups analyzing the barriers to clinical trial enrollment among underserved communities. I will be conducting 3 focus groups with 8 participants in each group, one representative from each of the 24 sites.

The prospective dates are:

• Tuesday, July 7^th at 3 PM EST

• Thursday, July 9^th at 3 PM EST

• Friday July 10^th at 11 AM EST

Please reply and let me know who from your site is interested in participating and which date. I will provide more details once I hear from all the sites.
