Subject: Introduction to the Sexual Risk Avoidance Education National Evaluation

Dear [SRAE Grantee]:

We are writing on behalf of the Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to let you know about an upcoming data collection effort as part of the Sexual Risk Avoidance Education National Evaluation (SRAENE). ACF has contracted with Mathematica Policy Research and Public Strategies to conduct SRAENE. The first component of the study – the Early Implementation Study (EIS) - will generate information about grantees’ program design and implementation features that can inform current and future SRAE programs and policy.

You will soon receive an invitation to complete a web survey for the EIS. The invitation will include a grantee-specific URL to access the survey. The survey is estimated to take up to 90 minutes to complete and can be completed in multiple, shorter sessions if that is more convenient for you. The information collected through the survey will help ACF to better understand what key decisions grantees are making regarding the design of their SRAE-funded programs. Questions primarily focus on grant structure, program components, implementation plans, and target populations. Your participation in this survey is very important to help ACF capture a comprehensive picture of the SRAE grant programs.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to the study team at [STUDY EMAIL] or XXX-XXX-XXXX (toll-free).

Thank you in advance for your time and cooperation.
