Note – SAVE will ask but not require
the user agency to answer questions
on additional screens if the SAVE
case results include sponsor or
household member information.
The user agency can choose to close
the case without answering the
questions by clicking the Close Case
or Close Case and Create New Case
button.

Single Means Tested Public Benefit

Note – When a SAVE user agency
submits an immigration status
verification request, the agency
indicates the benefit or benefits
that the applicant is seeking. If the
user agency indicated that it
submitted the verification request
for only one federal means-tested
public benefit and chooses to
answer the information collection
questions, then the benefit will be
indicated in the questions for
response as reflected in the
Medicaid example on this page.

Note – Medicaid is an example of a
federal means-tested public
benefit, but there are others to
which this information collection
also applies, such as Children’s
Health Insurance Program,
Temporary Assistance for Needy
Families, Supplemental Nutrition
Assistance Program, and
Supplemental Security Income.

More Than One Federal Means Tested Public Benefit

Note – If the user agency indicated
that it submitted its immigration
status verification request for more
than one federal means-tested
public benefit and chooses to
answer the information collection
questions, then SAVE will provide
an answer screen with a tab for
each federal means-tested public
benefit that the agency indicated.

More Than One Federal Means Tested Public Benefit

Note – After the user clicks
Continue on the previous
screen, SAVE will ask the user
whether they would like to
use the answers to the
questions on the first benefit
tab for all of the federal
means-tested public benefits
for which the agency
submitted the immigration
status verification request.
