On December 10, 2019, OMB issued its approval to AMS on revision of currently approved collection form related to the National Sheep Improvement Center for Nominee Agreement to Serve (Form LS-88) and Nomination of Sheep Industry Board (Form LS-87); and assigned it OMB No. 0581-0263. This Justification for Change Worksheet requests OMB’s approval to merge this form into OMB No. 0581-0093, National Research, Promotion, and Consumer Information Programs. As indicated in the Supporting Statement to OMB No. 0581-0263, upon approval of the collection, AMS will submit a justification request to merge forms LS-88 and LS-87 into the parent OMB No. 0581-0093, National Research, Promotion, and Consumer Information Programs so all forms pertaining to National Research, Promotion, and Consumer Information Programs are contained in one collection to prevent duplicity of burden hours.
On December 9, 2019, OMB issued its approval to AMS on new collection forms related to the Qualified State Soybean Boards (QSSB) and Qualified Beef State Councils (QSBC) for producer redirection of checkoff assessments—Form QSSB-1 and QSBC-1; and assigned it OMB No. 0581-0294. This Justification for Change Worksheet requests OMB’s approval to merge this form into OMB No. 0581-0093, National Research, Promotion, and Consumer Information Programs. As indicated in the Supporting Statement to OMB No. 0581-0294, upon approval of the collection, AMS will submit a justification request to merge forms QSSB-1 and QSBC-1 into the parent OMB No. 0581-0093, National Research, Promotion, and Consumer Information Programs so all forms pertaining to National Research, Promotion, and Consumer Information Programs are contained in one collection to prevent duplicity of burden hours.
Once OMB approves these merge requests, AMS will submit a discontinuation request in ROCIS to delete OMB No. 0581-0263 and OMB No. 0581-0294 collections to keep all forms in one parent collection.
