This study is being conducted by the RAND Corporation,* a non-partisan, non-profit research organization with the mission of improving public policy. The study is funded by the DoD’s Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC). It will ultimately produce a public report detailing how people in the United States view the potential ethical implications of the Department of Defense adopting AI.
