Request for Approval of a New Collection for Certification and
Release of Records

Attached is the information collection request (ICR) for the Form EOIR-59 (OMB#1125XXX), as required for certification and submission to the Office of Management and Budget.
The purpose for providing the requested information is for parties in cases or respondents who
are in or have been in proceedings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR)
proceedings to authorize the disclosure of their information, including information retained in
case files or a Record of Proceeding (documents, and if applicable, audio recordings), to an
attorney, accredited representative, qualified organization, or other third party. This information
collection is contained in a final rule submitted to the Federal Register for publication today. As
such, please transmit to OMB upon receipt.
