Why am I getting this letter?
Enclosed is your Hogs and Pigs Survey. Please complete the questionnaire at your earliest convenience. Your information is important and used to help provide detailed information on market hog and breeding stock inventories as well as pig crop and farrowing intentions.
How will the data be used?
Information from this survey allows NASS to accurately measure and report conditions and trends in the U.S. pork industry over the course of the year. The information is used by all sectors of the industry to help make sound and timely business decisions.
The results of this survey will be kept confidential and will be available in aggregate form only, ensuring that no individual operation or producer can be identified, as required by federal law. We will publish the survey findings in the quarterly Hogs and Pigs report, to be released Thursday, March 26, 2020.
