Defense Health Agency, Immunization Health Division Response to Center for Disease Control
comments on DHA Form 207

CDC: "Particularly concerned that the document includes several vaccines that aren't mRNAs and we
have no idea whether the contraindications for those may be different.”


IHD Response: Those vaccines were removed.

CDC: “There are a lot of inaccuracies in this document. Suggest they review the CDC clinical guidance
document for the Pfizer vaccine (Interim Clinical Considerations for Use of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19
Vaccine | CDC).”


IHD Response: information was updated upon release of the EUA documents.

CDC: “CDC cannot comment about any vaccine for which CDC has not seen the data and the vaccine has
not been authorized for use by FDA and reviewed by ACIP. Hence, cannot comment specifically about
any vaccine other than the Pfizer vaccine."


IHD Response: Only the Moderna and Pfizer vaccine are being addressed at this time.

CDC: "We believe that including AZ and Janssen (J & J) as vaccine options at the bottom of page 1 is
premature given both are still enrolling for Phase 3 trials and haven't applied for EUA yet. It is not
certain that these vaccines will be granted an EUA."


IHD Response: Vaccines removed.
