The Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) has received your certification that the student named
above is attending or will be attending your school full-time. The information requested on the
enclosed Form G-315A.1 is needed to terminate student benefits timely. Please retain that form in
your files for use in notifying the RRB if the above-named student either changes plans and does
not return to full-time attendance for a new school term or ceases full-time attendance for a reason
other than graduation.
For Railroad Retirement Act purposes, students are generally considered to be in full-time
attendance in elementary or secondary school courses of at least 13 weeks duration with minimum
attendance of 20 hours per week. The program must be in accordance with the law of the state or
other jurisdiction in which the students reside. This includes enrollment in:
1. a public, private, or religious educational institution;
2. an independent study program administered by the school district in which the student
resides; and
3. an elementary or secondary home school.
The completed form may be returned by mail to the address shown above or facsimile number
. The return address and facsimile number are also provided on the Form G-315A.1.
