Background Information
Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and
Sustainment (OUSD/A&S):
The Under Secretary for Acquisition and Sustainment is the principal
staff assistant and advisor to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary
of Defense for all matters relating to acquisition and sustainment
in the DoD, including the DoD Acquisition System; system design
and development; production; logistics and distribution; installation
maintenance, management,
and resilience; military construction; procurement of goods and
services; materiel readiness; maintenance; environment and energy
resilience (including renewable energy, as appropriate); utilities,
renewable energy, and energy management; business management
modernization; document services; nuclear, chemical, and biological
defense programs; nuclear command,
Control, and communications; and related matters.
SERIES DESCRIPTION:
The Trusted Capital program connects companies critical to the
defense industrial base with vetted trusted capital providers.
The Trusted Capital Digital Marketplace provides a standardized
application with data sets developed by OUSD/A&S in support of
Department of Defense Trusted Capital to determine if an applicant is
eligible for admission to the Trusted Capital Digital Marketplace

Trusted Capital Digital Marketplace is a federal information system established
to connect sources of private capital referred to as “Capital Providers” with vetted
domestic companies, referred to as “Capability Providers” designed to meet
DoD requirements to identify and protect technology sectors critical to the U.S.
defense industrial base, domestic manufacturing and limiting foreign access to
critical technology. The master file includes but are not limited to applications
identifying company name, entity type, vendor capabilities, foreign influence,
business proprietary, tax, and financial information provided by Capital Providers”
or “Capability Providers.”
