Why am I getting this letter?
The United States Department of Agriculture is conducting a
study about agricultural producers. The purpose of this study is
to improve our understanding of the agricultural population and
help the USDA better serve agricultural producers. The
questions in this survey may be used in future surveys and the
Census of Agriculture, resulting in better quality data for better
decisions. You are part of a select group of producers to
receive this questionnaire. Your participation is vital to helping
USDA improve its surveys and agricultural reports.

The survey should take no more than 10 minutes.

The data from this study will not be published in an official publication. Instead, NASS will publish a research report
about the survey. The information from this test will help ensure that future agricultural data are as comprehensive and
accurate as possible.

take you through a few quick questions then straight to the end. If you are responding by mail, please make a note on the
front of the questionnaire and mail it back to us.

4. Verify and complete your contact information, then continue to the survey.
5. Complete the survey questions.
