Dear Dr. Fixler and Ms. Burrell,
Thank you for your letter of continued support of NASS surveys. The Egg, Chicken, and Turkey
surveys are a very important part of the overall NASS program. For some States and counties the
poultry industry is extremely important to their local economies. Accurate, timely data are also
very important to this industry and many government agencies. NASS is only planning minor
adjustments to sample sizes at this time to reflect minor shifts in the target population.
We will keep you informed of any modifications.
