The U.S. Census Bureau is currently conducting the Quarterly Survey of Public Pensions
(Form F-10) for the Quarter ended Month Day, Year. We have selected your system(s) for the
quarterly survey. The Quarterly Survey of Public Pensions is a quarterly survey that provides
national summary data on the composition of assets of the largest defined benefit public
employee pension systems for state and local governments. This survey currently consists of a
panel of 100 pension systems, which comprise 88.4 percent of financial activity among such
entities, based on the 2012 Census of Governments.
You can complete your form online using your existing username and password to log in
to https://respond.census.gov/qspp.

Title 13, United States Code, Sections 161 and 182, authorize the U.S. Census Bureau to conduct
this collection and request your voluntary assistance. These data are subject to provisions of
Title 13 United States Code, Section 9(b), which exempt data that are customarily provided in
public records from rules of confidentiality.
Burden Estimate Statement
We estimate the Quarterly Survey of Public Pensions will take an average of 45 minutes to
complete. Factors such as government size, complexity and activity will affect your actual time
to complete the survey. This estimate includes the time to review instructions, search existing
data sources, gather and maintain the data needed, and complete and review the survey.
