Generic Clearance for Emergency Economic Information Collections

PART B: Collections of Information Employing Statistical Methods
1. Universe and Respondent Selection
In cases where EEIC questions are added to existing business surveys, please refer to the most recently approved ICR for each survey detailing information about the universe and respondent selection. In the case of any new survey conducted under this generic clearance, this information will be included in the Request for EEIC submitted to OMB in advance of the collection.
2. Procedures for Collecting Information
In cases where EEIC questions are added to existing business surveys, please refer to the most recently approved ICR for each survey detailing information about procedures for collecting the information. In the case of any new survey conducted under this generic clearance, this information will be included in the Request for EEIC submitted to OMB in advance of the collection.
3. Methods to Maximize Response
In cases where EEIC questions are added to existing business surveys, please refer to the most recently approved ICR for each survey detailing information about methods to maximize response. In the case of any new survey conducted under this generic clearance, this information will be included in the Request for EEIC submitted to OMB in advance of the collection.
4. Tests of Procedures or Methods
Due to the need to develop collections quickly and get them into the field, pre-testing of questions will not be possible in most cases. However, all questions in the Question Bank have already gone through at least one round of cognitive testing. At a minimum, all EEICs will undergo expert review. Additionally, responses will be evaluated for quality. Information about planned tests and evaluations will be included in the Request for EEIC submitted to OMB in advance of the collection.
