GAF Permit Log
GAF Permit Log: Upon retention of a GAF halibut, the charter vessel guide must immediately record on the GAF permit log:
♦ Date that GAF was caught and retained
♦ Length of GAF. Halibut lengths are measured to the nearest inch in a straight line (not following the curve of the body) from the anterior-most tip of the lower jaw with
the mouth closed to the extreme end of the middle of the tail.
A GAF Electronic Report must be submitted through eFish (https://alaskafisheries.noaa.gov/webapps/efish/login) by 11:59 p.m. (Alaska local time) on the last calendar day of a
fishing trip for each day on which a charter vessel angler retained GAF. Record the GAF electronic report confirmation number on this log.
