AGENCY:

The Department of Energy has
submitted an information collection
package to the OMB for extension under
the provisions of the Paperwork
Reduction Act of 1995. The package
requests a three-year extension of its
‘‘Annual Alternative Fuel Vehicle
Acquisition Report for State and
Alternative Fuel Provider Fleets,’’ OMB
Control Number 1910–5101. This
information collection package covers
information necessary to ensure the
compliance of regulated fleets with the
alternative fueled vehicle acquisition
requirements of the Energy Policy Act of
1992, as amended, (EPAct).
DATES: Comments regarding this
collection must be received on or before
October 25, 2021. If you anticipate that
you will be submitting comments, but
find it difficult to do so within the
period of time allowed by this notice,
please advise the OMB Desk Officer of
your intention to make a submission as
soon as possible. The Desk Officer may

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Comments
are invited on: (a) Whether the extended
collection of information is necessary
for the proper performance of the
functions of DOE, including whether the
information shall have practical utility;
(b) the accuracy of DOE’s estimate of the
burden of the proposed collection of
information, including the validity of
the methodology and assumptions used;
(c) ways to enhance the quality, utility,
and clarity of the information to be

collected; and (d) ways to minimize the
burden of the collection of information
on respondents, including through the
use of automated collection techniques
or other forms of information

This information collection request
contains:

Title: Annual Alternative Fuel Vehicle
Acquisition Report for State
Government and Alternative Fuel
Provider Fleets;
(3) Type of Review: Extension;
(4) Purpose: The information is
required so that DOE can determine
whether alternative fuel provider and
State government fleets are in
compliance with the alternative fueled
vehicle acquisition mandates of sections
501 and 507(o) of the Energy Policy Act
of 1992, as amended, (EPAct), whether
such fleets should be allocated credits
under section 508 of EPAct, and
whether fleets that opted into the
alternative compliance program under
section 514 of EPAct are in compliance
with the applicable requirements. The
information collection instrument is
completed online, via a password
protected web page; for review
purposes, the same instrument is

recommendations concerning a wide
range of issues where understanding of
science, technology, and innovation
may bear on the policy choices before

Tentative Agenda: PCAST will hear
