activities. This section applies solely to full-time activities that begin after law school graduation (e.g., clerkships,
legal fellowships, and full-time graduate law programs not linked to a joint-degree program). Do not enter parttime activities in this section.

Honors and Awards

• Applicants who will not graduate from law school this academic year (e.g., SLIP applicants seeking
internships prior to law school graduation) should check "Not Applicable" at the end of the section.
• Applicants who will graduate from law school this academic year should select the appropriate option
under "CURRENT LAW STUDENTS" below.
Directions for Law School Graduates
• Applicants who have graduated from law school should select the appropriate option under "LAW
SCHOOL GRADUATES" below.
• Applicants who graduated from law school in winter/spring/summer 2015 must select an option available
to LAW SCHOOL GRADUATES or "Not Applicable." Recent graduates who have not accepted a full-time
eligibility-preserving activity that starts within 9 months of graduation by the application deadline are not
eligible for the Honors Program. See Honors Program eligibility.

• Applicants serving in a full-time judicial clerkship or legal fellowship who are earning an LL.M or other
graduate degree through part-time attendance should enter only their full-time clerkship or legal
fellowship information on this screen. Enter part-time graduate degree information on the Legal Education
or Non-Legal Education screen, as appropriate.
Special Instructions for Joint-Degree Applicants
• Applicants who are simultaneously earning (or who simultaneously earned) a JD and another graduate
degree (e.g., JD/LLM, JD/MBA,) should enter information relating the non-JD degree in the Non-Legal
Education or Legal Education section, as appropriate. Do not enter information about the non-JD degree
on this screen.
• Current students simultaneously earning a law degree and another advanced degree through a jointdegree program who will not complete all degree requirements and graduate from both programs this
academic year should select "Not Applicable" at the end of this section.
• Current students simultaneously earning a law degree and another advanced degree through a jointdegree program who will complete all degree requirements and graduate have graduated from both
degree programs this academic year should select the appropriate option under "CURRENT LAW
STUDENTS" below.
• Law school graduates should select one of the options under "LAW SCHOOL GRADUATES" below.
CURRENT LAW STUDENTS:
I am applying for, but have not yet accepted a full-time judicial clerkship, legal fellowship, or Presidential
Management Fellowship to begin after law school graduation.
I have accepted a full-time judicial clerkship, Presidential Management Fellowship, or full-time legal
fellowship to begin after law school graduation. Clerkships and legal fellowships should be approximately one
year in duration; the Department reviews shorter durations on a case-by-case basis. Part-time and short-term
clerkships/fellowships, including short-term school sponsored "Bridge and Gap" fellowships do not qualify.
I have been accepted into a full-time graduate law program to begin following law school graduation.
I will graduate in the coming academic year, and am currently seeking full-time legal employment to begin
following law school graduation.
LAW SCHOOL GRADUATES:
To clear an erroneous selection, select "Not Applicable" at the end of the section. This will automatically remove
prior selections

Judicial Clerkships / Fellowship / Graduate Law Programs

List all past, current, or known future clerkships, full-time fellowships, or full-time graduate law programs (based on
acceptance) in chronological order, starting with the first activity after law school graduation. To add an activity,
select the "add" button. You may edit or remove an individual entry by selecting the corresponding link. When your
entry is complete, select "Save and Continue" to save your changes. You may edit or remove an individual entry by
selecting the corresponding link. When your entry is complete, select 'save this information' to save your changes.
You may enter more than one clerkship/fellowship through this screen. Do not list clerkships/fellowships for
which you are applying or short-term judicial externships during law school.
Honors Program clerkships for Immigration Courts or DEA Judges, or a term as a Special Assistant to the Solicitor
General, other DOJ fellowships (e.g. BOP, Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering) or Honors Program attorneys on
a term appointment to a U.S. Attorney's Office should list clerkship/fellowship information here as well as on under
DOJ Employment.
