FRA uses the information collected to promote and maintain rail safety by ensuring that disqualified individuals do not serve in safety-sensitive positions. This collection of information is mandatory, collected as needed, and it involves reporting requirements.
The current OMB inventory for this information collection shows a total burden of 5 hours and 4 responses, while the requesting inventory estimates a total burden of 41 hours and 22 responses. Overall, the burden for this submission has increased by 36 hours and increased by 19 responses. There is no change in the method of the collection. The increase in burden is solely the result of adjustments.
