RFS2 Co-Products Report (RFS0702) Instructions


Who must report

Under RFS2, RIN generating producers and importers and biointermediate producers must submit information about co-products produced during the renewable fuel production or biointermediate process as per 40 CFR §§80.1451(b)(1)(ii)(M)-(N) and §80.1451(i)(2)(xiii)-(xiv) respectively. If a RIN generating renewable fuel producer produces any co-product in addition to a renewable fuel or if a RIN generating renewable fuel importer generates RINs for a registered foreign producer whose production process produces any co-product in addition to a renewable fuel pursuant to 40 CFR Subpart M, then they must submit a RFS0702 report.


Biointermediate producers that produce a biointermediate for use in the production of renewable fuels for which RINs will be generated must submit an RFS0702 report if the biointermediate producer’s process produces any co-product in addition to a biointermediate.


Reporting deadlines
