This Agency Query System (AQS) is for the use of authorized users only. The data contained in this system is and remains Department of Labor data that is subject to the Privacy Act (5 U.S.C. 552a) and to the Systems Notice for DOL/GOVT-1. Absent a court order from a court of competent jurisdiction or a written release from the individual claimant under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA), such data may only be used pursuant to DOL's Office of Workers' Compensation Programs Division of Federal Employees' Compensation (DFEC) interpretation of a routine use published in DOL/GOVT-1 and in a manner that is compatible with the purpose for which the record was created.
Before any data from DOL/GOVT-1 can be used in a personnel or similar action, there must be a written release from the claimant or an order from a court of competent jurisdiction, or agreement by DFEC national office or DFEC district office management that disclosure of the information in that individual case to the designated recipient is pursuant to a routine use and is compatible with the purpose for which the record was created, which is the administration and payment of FECA compensation.
