If you have applied for certain immigration benefits that are subject to confidentiality requirements under 8 U.S.C. 1367
(including those that pertain to asylum, T and U visas, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), or battered spouse/child
seeking hardship waiver), by completing this registration, you have consented to waive those confidentiality
requirements, thereby permitting the U.S. government to share the PII noted above within the U.S. government, as well
as DHS and its contractors to help process your registration.
Waiver of confidentiality is not required; however, if you do not waive these requirements, third parties may be unable
to receive the information necessary to help adjudicate your benefit application.

By registering and submitting your information to this website you are not applying for a visa, other documentation,
admission into the United States, or any other immigration benefit. DHS, its components, offices, employees,
contractors, agents, and assignees, will not be held liable for any and all claims of action or damages of any kind arising
from, or in any way connected to, the release or use of any information or records pursuant to this waiver and notice.

Authority:
The information collected on this website is collected under Executive Order (EO) 14012 (February 2, 2021) and 8 U.S.C.
§ 1182(d)(5)(A). In response to EO 14012, on July 2, 2021, the Secretaries of Homeland Security and the Veterans Affairs
(VA) announced a new joint initiative, the Immigrant Military Members and Veterans Initiative (IMMVI), to support our
Nation’s noncitizen service members, veterans, and their immediate family members and directed their departments to
identify and prioritize the return of military service members, veterans, and their immediate family members who were
removed from the United States to ensure they receive any entitled or eligible benefits.

Purpose:
The primary purpose for providing the requested information on this website is to register the current or former service
member with the IMMVI, so the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) can collect and gather the necessary
information in order to expedite the benefit adjudication process to ensure that the service member can access or
receive any entitled or eligible benefits. However, registration and submission of information to this website is not an
application for a visa, other documentation, admission into the United States, or any other immigration or other
benefit.

Routine Uses:
IMMVI may share the information you provide to authorized U.S. government agencies for the purpose of ensuring
that the service member can access and receive the benefits to which they may be entitled to or eligible for pursuant to
the approved routine uses described in the associated published system of records notice [DHS/USCIS/ICE/CBP-001
Alien File, Index, and National File Tracking System of Records, September 18, 2017, 82 FR 43556] and specific system or
program published privacy impact assessments, which can be found at www.dhs.gov/privacy
(https://www.dhs.gov/privacy).

Disclosure:
The information you provide is voluntary. However, failure to provide accurate information may result in delays in
processing your registration in order to expedite the benefit adjudication process.
