NIDCD 2022-2027 Strategic Plan: Idea Generation Template
The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) is developing a 2022-2027
Strategic Plan.
We are seeking ideas for innovative, forward-thinking, and ambitious goals that you believe are important to
advance science and improve the care and well-being of individuals with communication disorders in the
mission areas of the institute We would appreciate your help to identify goals for the Strategic Plan that may
be accomplished in the next 5 to 10 years in accordance with the NIDCD’s Vision:
“Advancing the science of communication to improve lives.”
NIDCD is also seeking research and training ideas related to the following cross-cutting areas:

Inclusion of Women in Clinical Research

•

Inclusion of Racial and Ethnic Minorities in Clinical Research

•

Reduction of Health Disparities

•

Scientific Workforce Diversity

•

Global Health
