RATIONALE
CMS revised the cost burden and
reporting estimates to allow for an
increase in the number of
respondents due to the new
provision that extended ASP
reporting requirements to
manufacturers without Medicaid
Drug Rebate Agreements.
Previously, ASP reporting was
only required for manufacturers of
drugs or biologicals payable under
Part B with a Medicaid rebate
agreement.
CMS updated some outdated
language about the purpose of
ASP and processes of the ASP
application. The chart added to
section 3 depicts the actual
landing page that is shown when
users enter the FFSDCS in the
portal because there are now 3
applications housed within the
FFSDCS, not just ASP.
