Description of the need for the
information and proposed use: This
information collection is necessary to
the Department to assist HUD in
determining applicant eligibility and
ability to develop affordable housing for
very low-income elderly persons within
statutory and program criteria. A
thorough evaluation of an applicant’s
submission is necessary to protect the
Government’s financial interest.
Respondents: Eligible applicants and
any co-sponsors must be private,
nonprofit organizations and nonprofit
consumer cooperatives with tax-exempt
status under Internal Revenue Service
code.

Program (FUP) is a program, authorized
under section 8(x) of the United States
Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C. 1437(X),
that provides housing choice vouchers
to PHAs to assist families for whom the
lack of adequate housing is a primary
factor in the imminent placement of the
family’s child or children in out-ofhome care; or the delay in the discharge
of the child, or children, to the family

18 years old and not more than 21 years
old (have not reached 22nd birthday)
who left foster care at age 16 or older
and who do not have adequate housing
are also eligible to receive housing
assistance under the FUP. As required
by statute, a FUP voucher issued to such
a youth may only be used to provide
housing assistance for the youth for a
maximum of 18 months. Vouchers
awarded under FUP are administered by
PHAs under HUD’s regulations for the
Housing Choice Voucher program (24
CFR part 982).

In accordance with the
Federal Land Policy and Management
Act and the Federal Advisory
Committee Act, the U.S. Department of
the Interior, Bureau of Land
Management’s (BLM) Alaska Resource
Advisory Council (RAC) will meet as
follows.

SUMMARY:

The RAC will hold a hybrid
public meeting, offering in-person and
virtual attendance options, on
Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Alaska Time, with
public comments accepted at 1:50 p.m.
