About 19,000 households in the U.S. will be scientifically selected per year to be screened for potential participation in this study.

The interviewers working on this study have been hired and trained by RTI International (RTI), a nonprofit research organization. The National Center for Health Statistics hired RTI (Contract # 75D301-20C-0973) to collect the data for the survey.
