The reporting burden for this information collection is estimated to be on average 8 hours per response per year, which includes the time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the collection of information. According to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, a federal agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to, nor shall a person be subject to a penalty for failure to comply with, a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid Office of Management and Budget (OMB) control number. The valid OMB control number for this information collection is 2130-NEW. F3 Reporting Period Enter the date Year and month of the reported data. This is typically the current year and previous month. Please enter it in a two-digit month and four-digit year format (e.g., 05/2023).
F4 Maximum Train Length Enter the length in feet Report the length of the longest train in the reporting period (including en route pickups).
F5 Top Category Train Length Enter number here Report, in feet, the train length representing the 95th percentile of all the train lengths in the reporting period. Note that this represents the value that five percent of the trains exceed in length during the reporting period.
F6 Maximum Trailing Tonnage Enter the maximum trailing tonnage Report the trailing tonnage for the train that had the maximum trailing tonnage (including enroute pickup) during the reporting period.
F7 Total Trailing Tonnage Leave this space blank and enter the data for all three subcategories below Report total trailing tonnage for trains in the specified train length categories in the reporting period. A train is defined by its specific train ID or number between source and destination.
