24 CFR 85.42, PHAs are required to
retain at least ‘three years’ worth of
IMS/PIC and HIP data either
electronically or in paper form.

Records are maintained at the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban
Development in Washington, DC with
limited access to those persons whose
official duties require the use of such
records. Computer files and printed
listings are maintained in locked
cabinets. User’s access, updates access,
read-only access, and approval access
are granted based on the user’s role and
security access level.
