Evaluation of the Community Choice Demonstration
Home Assessment

An Invitation!

You are invited to participate in another important
research opportunity—the Community Choice
Demonstration Home Assessment!

Researchers from Abt Associates are
conducting an additional study for families
who enrolled in the Community Choice
Demonstration. You are invited to learn more
about and enroll in the Home Assessment. The
study team hopes to conduct the Assessment
once now, and once a year from now. Each
time, the Assessment should take about an hour
of your time. As a token of appreciation, the
interviewer will give you a $45 gift card when
the first Assessment is completed and $50 when
the follow-up Assessment is completed.

The Home Assessment
is being completed
to understand if the
neighborhoods in which
families live affect the
indoor air quality and
exposure to allergens of
their homes. These are
important factors that may
impact the health and
well-being of participating
families.

Research has found that the
home environment affects
children’s exposure to
allergens and poor air quality,
which can contribute to asthma
flare-ups.
Participation in the Home
Assessment is voluntary
and does not affect your
participation in the Community
Choice Demonstration.

Someone from Abt Associates will reach out to you over the next few weeks to tell you more about the
