Note: For outreach purposes, we plan to market the combined assessments as the Mobility
Opportunity Vouchers to Eliminate Disparies (MOVED) Study

An Invitation!

You are invited to participate in another important
research opportunity—the Mobility Opportunity
Vouchers to Eliminate Disparities (MOVED) Study!

Researchers from Johns Hopkins in
partnership with Abt Associates are
conducting an additional study for
families who enrolled in the Community
Choice Demonstration. Participating in
the MOVED study assessment should
take about 3 hours to complete. You and
your child can receive gift cards of up to
$140 for completing the study activities,
depending on how many of the activities
you and your child agree to participate in.

The study will collect data
from one adult and one child
in each family. The study team
hopes to conduct the MOVED
Study Assessment once now,
and then again two years later.
Participation in this study is your
choice and does not affect your
participation in the Community
Choice Demonstration.

This research is being done
to understand how your home
and neighborhood impact your
health, including your weight
and risk of developing Type
II Diabetes. The research
also tries to understand how
your home and neighborhood
affect your children by learning
about their health, school, and
friendships.

Someone from Abt Associates will reach out to you over the next few weeks to tell you more about the
MOVED study. You can also contact the study team to get more information.
