The Commission requires Fixed
Telephony providers and Multi-line Telephone Systems (MLTS)
providers to convey dispatchable location with 911 calls. See 47
CFR Secs. 9.8 and 9.16.
The Commission is reporting
adjustments to this information collection since the last
submission to OMB. The total respondents increased from 1,275,636
to 1,397,677 (+122,041); the total annual responses increased from
38,048,948 to 46,728,330 (+8,679,382); total annual burden hours
increased from 634,610 to 779,266 (+144,656); and total annual
costs decreased from $1,911,540 to $1,834,020 (-$77,520). These
adjustments are based on the most current data from the U.S. Census
Bureau and the Bureau of Labor Statistics. No program changes are
being reported to this information collection.
